Term loan

Product design / Research / User testing / UX / UI

Term loan is a new product from Fundbox. The goal of the project was design and incorporate the new product into Fundbox’s main offer - Line of credit. I work on the onboarding, offer page and the term loan dashboard.

The challenge

The main challenge was designing the offers page, being the decision point between Term loan and Line of credit. The complex challenge deciding on the fine balance between reaching a high adoption rate for the new product while retaining high usage rates for our core product.
In addition, this was an end to end effort, impacting everything from the onboarding flow, through the user dashboard and promotion efforts.

References

To create an initial mockup I did visual research and focused on comparison tables of all kinds, to see how they compare pros and cons for similar features.

Starting design iterations

Working closely with the PM and financial stakeholders, we iterated on the page until we found something we felt strongly about.

Initial rollout to 400 users

After some iterations, we released a final version to 10% of users and reviewed data and feedback after the rollout.

Gathered user insights after the launch

I used several tools to review user behavior after the launch, which included recorded sessions on Fullstory, getting feedback from sales reps, and looking at the data. All of these indicated 2 main points I had to improve.

Final result

After re-iterating on the page, I went back to the comparison table option, to make the choice between products clearer. To increase transparency, I added a modal dedicated to give more info about fees.
