The goal of this project was to create a brand center which will allow users to manage all of their brand assets in one place, and to implement these assets easily to anywhere in their Vimeo workflow: when editing a video, creating live events and more.
The challenge
The main challenge was creating one central component, to serve all Vimeo’s product areas and by this help unify the experience across all of Vimeo’s product suite. I also had to consider how users will implement their brand in one consistent flow through various products. The current experience was broken and inconsistent.
Solution
Creating one main component to serve as an entry point for all brand customization needs when creating a video: adding a logo, selecting brand colors, brand fonts, and more.
Visualizing the user journey
This gave us an understanding of what the user journey would be and how their workflow would be changed. Where do they go to manage their assets and where in the journey it should be? How do they access their assets while creating a video?
Starting out with some initial ideas
We brainstormed on what was the vision we’re aiming for and what are the different steps to get there. I also mapped out all the different entry points we currently have, to understand the scope.
Design exploration
We iterated on the design to find the right balance - Will it be more visual like a brand book or an asset management platform? What is the correct way to implement it inside Vimeo’s products with minimum dev effort?

Prototype and user testing
We discovered additional use cases, learned what’s missing, and iterated on the initial wireframes.
Some of the insights we discovered were the approximate number of assets they currently use for their video, which tools they currently use to manage their brand elements and what is their workflow around implementing their brand when creating a video.

The brand hub - Final delivery
We eventually decided on a visual brand-book-like experience, which offers an immersive UI in addition to being easy to use. Users can create different lists and color palettes, and easily organize everything
their brand needs.
